The question

How much guidance
does a choice need?

This study separates the selection into two small decisions, then provides an explicit review step. The controls remain on the same page so visitors can change their mind without navigating backward.

A muted blue surface creates distance from the portfolio’s dark frame and gives the selection area a clear boundary.

The implementation

Feedback without
a hidden step.

  • The session selector uses a native keyboard-friendly control.
  • Time buttons show the selected value visually and programmatically.
  • Attempting a preview without a time explains what to do next.
  • The final message repeats the choice and clearly says nothing is booked.

Selections exist only in the current page. A real appointment service would require separately scoped calendar and delivery behavior.
